Event accompanying the exhibition of Jakub Plączkowski PTOKWCUGU

A meeting with Jakub Plączkowski and jazz musician Piotr Damasiewicz will be the exhibition's accompanying event. Among other things, the guys will talk about how they met and what influence the friendship that was born between the artists had on Jakub Plączkowski's art. We will also learn the secrets of the artistic relationship between the graphic artist and the musician. The meeting will be moderated by Katarzyna Kaczorowska, a Wrocław-based journalist associated with the Polityka weekly. The event will also be attended by the exhibition's artistic mentor Jarosław Słomski.

The meeting will also feature a short concert by Piotr Damasiewicz.

Piotr Damasiewicz – composer, trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, educator, traveller and curator of international music platforms. Founder of the concert & publishing initiative L.A.S., aimed, in addition to music publishing per se, at promoting art and music through its joint experience between listener/musician, artist/spectator.

Jakub Plączkowski – a Wrocław-based artist and illustrator associated with the ArtBrut Gallery & Studio for several years. In his works absurd humour mixes with realistic landscapes and events. Original colours and industrial landscapes surround the expressive protagonists of his drawings.

Following the event, we invite you to a curatorial tour with the exhibition's artistic mentor Jarosław Słomski and Jakub Plączkowski.
